Data Acquisition System

The HAI 118 is a fast high-resolution data acquisition system suitable for most data recording studies in the research laboratory. It offers 8 analog input channels, 8 digital outputs, 4 digital inputs and 2 DACs. The Hardware connects to PC compatible computers via the popular USB interface, so setup is plug-and-play easy.

The Axoclamp 900A is the newest microelectrode amplifier from Molecular Devices. Like the Axoclamp-2B amplifier, Axoclamp 900A offers several modes of operation that measure signals from single cells, tissue slices, and whole animal preparations. The advanced signal conditioning included in the Axoclamp 900A amplifier saves the expense of buying additional hardware and frees up valuable space in an electrophysiology setup. By making Axoclamp 900A computer-controlled, several powerful new features have been added to make it simpler to set up and run experiments. This exciting new instrument is designed to meet researchers’ needs today, as well as offer fl exibility for future experiments.

The DataCapsule is a new general purpose, four channel data acquisition system. This versatile digital recorder system consists of a controller with four channels and adaptable, easy to use software. One channel has an integrated bridge amplifier as a standard feature; (additional bridge amplifiers may also be integrated into the DataCapsule chassis as requested.) There are two BNC analog outputs on the front of the chassis, as well as an external trigger in-put via BNC. Triggering may also be accomplished via software.

The iWorx 214 includes a dual-channel biopotential amplifier designed for use on human subjects. Two additional channels accept practically any sensor you are likely to encounter, as well as voltage output of pH meters, spectrophotometers and other laboratory devices.

The iWorx 214 also includes a fully functional built-in stimulator useful for a variety of human and animal labs. The recorder interfaces to the PC via the USB bus, which provides aggregate sampling at 100 kHz continuous, more than fast enough for just about any teaching experiment.
