This instrument is used to determine the evaporation, which occurs on a moistened porous paper filter.
It consists of a measuring cylinder, which is sealed on one end open on the other. The open end is closed off with blotting paper situated beneath the tube starts to evaporate. This evaporation is compensated for by the water in the measuring tube. The amount which has evaporated can be read on the measuring scale.

This sensor assembly is generally used within a cold room environment. It consists of a Pt100 sensing element housed in a stainless steel protective sheath with an additional perforated protection sheath. The termination head is Aluminum with a screw cap & it also has two mounting lugs to enable direct wall mounting.
