SLEE have produced and reconditioned steel and hard-metal (tungsten-carbide) knives for decades in the factory in Mainz. However, it is not always economical to find a suitable factory for this service in your area or return the knives for reconditioning to us.
Therefore this low-cost microtome knife sharpener type MMS, is a valuable alternative and addition to our manufacturing programme

Developed for fully motorized sectioning of paraffin and plastic embedded specimens, the LEICA RM 2155 offers a broad applications spectrum for routine and research histology laboratory as well as for industrial control of material and quality.

Heavy base with hinged cover for protecting the interior mechanism, and knife holder. With every complete revolution of the drive wheel, the feed panel engaged the teeth of ratchet wheel which advances the object holder through cone and inclined plane mechanism, tissue section can be cut down to even 1 µm to 50 µm.A razor 120mm made from heat treated steel and tested for micro structure is supplied with instruments.

Disposable Microtome Blades

These ultra-sharp blades section specimens without striations, distortion or chattering. Low-profile blades fit all Accu-Edge blade holders for microtomy and cryotomy. High-profile blades are compatible with holders designed for disposable blades 14mm in height. Blades come in dispensers that hold 50 blades and deliver them in seconds, automatically ejecting the used blade.
