Designed to bring simplicity to pH testing of food and dairy products, the HI99161 pH Meter for Food and Dairy is designed for use in the food sector. The specialized probe features a PVDF body, conical tip, and open junction making it ideal for direct measurement of semisolid foods.
An on-screen indicator provides visual confirmation that your probe is working at its best.
The included batteries provide 1200 hours of continuous use. When the battery level is below 10%, a warning symbol will blink to indicate low battery condition. When low battery power may affect your results, the meter will shut down to avoid erroneous readings caused by low battery level.
The auto-off feature can be set to shut the meter off at 8 or 60 minutes, or it can be disabled so that the meter continuously stays on. The auto-off feature prolongs battery life for peace-of-mind and energy savings if the meter is accidentally left on.
Designed to withstand the knocks, drops, and spills of real life, the new IP67 body ensures top performance in any environment. These meters are protected against dust and water intrusion from any direction.

The HI99161 Portable pH Meter for Food and Dairy features a replaceable FC2023 probe that has been carefully designed for the pH analysis of semisolid foods such as processed meats, soft cheeses, soups, sauces, condiments, jams, jellies, dough, ice cream, sushi and rice.
The open junction design reduces clogging from suspended solids and proteins found in food and dairy products for a more stable pH measurement and reduced maintenance.
The conical shaped tip design allows for penetration into solids, semi solids, and emulsions for the direct measurement of pH in a variety of food products. Low Temperature (LT) glass is used for quicker results at lower temperatures.
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a food grade plastic that is resistant to most chemicals and solvents used for disinfection in the food sector, including chlorine (bleach).
