Rabbit Restrainer

Easy to use for pyrogen testing, injection or auricular bleeding, while providing maximum security and protection. Only for rabbits weighing from 3 to 4,5 Kg.

Specially designed top plate protects the animal’s spine, inverted U-shaped grid provides paw comfort and neck collar to protect the animal during procedure.

Stainless steel (S/S) base insert (267 x 108 mm) provides firm footing while allowing faeces and urine to drop into the tray below. Bottom plate is slotted at the rear for pyrogen testing. All parts are autoclavable and easy to clean.

Rack for restrainer is also available with the second tier located 1460mm from floor level.

The rabbit is secured as follows: Remove rear plate and top plate. Open hinged top and place rabbit inside. Each side of the Restrainer has five 7.6 cm (3 in) slots separated by approximately 3.2 cm (1-1/4 in). Slide rear plate in appropriate slots for size of animal. The rear plate has a slotted opening for pyrogen testing. Slide and lock in place curved 2.5 cm (1 in) wide top plate in appropriate slot over animal’s back to prevent injury. Close the hinged top; latch the front of the Restrainer.

The back plate of this Restrainer is divided into two separate adjustable pieces, a curved back plate and a rear plate, providing a perfect fit with no gaps. The back height is adjustable from a minimum of 11.4 cm (4-1/2 in) to a maximum of 17.8 cm (7 in) and is secured by tightening 4 knobs. The rear plate has an extra extension plate that can slide up to match the height of the back plate for securely restraining the animal.
