These popular Broome Restrainers provide fast and easy animal insertion.
The cylindrical design of these Restrainers solves the problem of the rodentsturning once they are introduced into the Restrainer.

The restrainer heaters supplied with the restrainers shown to the left are also available separately and can be used with the Broome Restrainers shown on page C3. These restrainer heating systems feature a flexible heating strip with adhesive backing which can be mounted to the underside of any acrylate restrainer. The temperature is factory set to 37°C (adjustable from ambient to 95°C through the control unit).

These Universal Rodent Restrainers have a unique raised inner floor which provides a better fit for smaller rodents and which may be removed for larger rodents. The inner floor is attached to the bottom by two nylon screws. Knurled, nickel-plated brass screws serve as base fasteners and legs. These Universal Rodent Restrainers are constructed of 6.4 mm (1/4 in) thick, rigid, clear acrylic plastic. Openings in the headgate reduce restrictions on the rodent’s breathing. Not autoclavable.

These Flat Bottom Restrainers have one circular opening on top and a slot on the bottom for easy intramuscular, intraperitoneal and intravenous injections and drainage of wastes.

These Flat Bottom Restrainers have one circular opening on top and a slot on the bottom for easy intramuscular, intraperitoneal and intravenous injections and drainage of wastes. The adjustable tail gate fits in one of 4 slots, allowing the Restrainer to accommodate different sized animals. The front of the Restrainer has two slots for easy breathing and anesthetizing. The bottom extends past the front part of the Restrainer forming a pocket for animal feeding.

This system is extremely useful for acute or chronic studies including metabolism studies, euthanasia, CO2 collection, inhalation studies and isolation requirements. It can be used as an open or closed system.

This system consists of a transparent plastic cylindrical body section, two convex cone-shaped sections, and a concave cone-shaped top section. Both the top and bottom convex cone sections have gas orifices. The orifice on the bottom section may also be used as a urine separator/collector. The concave top section permits the use of a standard water bottle. An optional Liquid Diet/Water Feeder, available as an accessory, can be mounted inside the chamber with the brackets supplied.
