Two metal frames are connected by a pivoted link which also carries a spirit level. A micrometer head reading to 0.01 mm is provided to re-adjust the spirit level. With two pin chunks, a counterpoise weight and supply of suitable wires but without slotted masses.

→ The instrument consists of two iron frames connected by a link.
→ The frames are fitted with self centering collets.
→ One of the frames is fitted with a micrometer screw which spirit level is pivoted to one of the frames, the other end rests on the point of a micrometer screw fitted in the other frame.
→ Provision for fixing on ceiling. Supplied with 5 meter of wire and a tension weight.
