The Clipper Model 400 Office Tester & Cleaner offered by Seedburo is an extremely efficient cleaner for office and laboratory use. This machine will provide accurate, dependable performance for small lot cleaning, testing or sampling. It is commonly used in seed plants for sampling large lots of seed for correct screen selection on larger, commercial size cleaners. It is also widely used in university laboratories for agronomy research and testing and flower and vegetable growers use the Model 400 for specialized cleaning, grading and sizing. The Model 400 has a compact, portable design and features an eccentric (shoe) drive that uses two (2) 10″ x 15″ screens. One top screen for scalping, one bottom screen for cleaning and grading. Perforated metal or wire cloth screens are available in over 175 different sizes. Other features include a powerful bottom blast fan driven by a three-step pulley, adjustable slide on the air intake openings to provide intermediate air regulation and an optional, removable catchall with removable trays (shown) to catch air screenings. Designed by Carter-Day to meet specifications of the USDA, the Carter-Day Dockage Tester provides accurate and uniform tests of grain samples for dockage. It is the official testing machine used in Federal Grain Inspection Service offices of the USDA, the department’s licensed inspectors, state grain inspection offices, Canadian Grain Commission and throughout the commercial grain grading system. Official procedures have been established for testing wheat, corn, barley, rye, flaxseed, rice and grain sorghums. Instructions on the proper riddles and sieves to use, along with their procedures for testing these grains, are furnished with the tester. A partial list follows.

The new Burrows Model DMC750 Moisture Meter has been designed to provide direct and accurate moisture readings on a variety of common commodities such as barley, corn, coffee, canola, beans, lentils, rice, soybean and wheat just to name a few. The Model 750 has a flow-through design and there is no need to pre-weigh samples. The temperature of each commodity is corrected prior to the display of the moisture reading.

The DMC is easy to use. Press the On/Off button on the front panel and the 750 will start a series of self-tests to check the operation of all components, taking about 10 seconds. Then select the grain to be tested, slowly pour the sample in the hopper until the display reads 100% and the tester makes an audible beep to indicate the hopper is full. The grain will drop automatically into the test cell and within 10 seconds; moisture percent is read on the display along with the temperature. The DMC750 can be user programmed to display results in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese. The built in thermometer is accurate from +/- 0.5º. Operating temperature is from 41ºF to 120ºF. The DMC750 can be connected to a printer with RS232C Bi-directional capabilities. Seedburo also offers a printer compatible with the DMC750, which includes a connection cable. The Burrows operates under a full range of power, from 100 to 240V, 50/60HZ, 1PH.

SANDBURG BARLEY OR WHEAT PEARLER

The Seedburo Barley Pearler or WHEAT PEARLER is used to dehull barley for the determination of mellowness and heat-damaged kernel. It uses a 30 grit carborundum stone and a No.7 mesh screen.

The Wheat Pearler determines the hardness in wheat and comes with a 24 grip stone and a NO.8 mesh screen. The hulled grain is discharged through the spout, while chaff and hulls are passed through the screen into the catch drawer.

Sample Mill Feed Controller

The Feed Controller provides a means for uniformly introducing coarse sample material into the Cyclone Sample Mill. A 30 to 40 gram sample is poured into the hopper and is immediately conveyed into the mill.

Large quantities may be handled by using a poly bag in place of the regular sample bottle.
